Kate Durocher bought her first road bike two years ago when she couldn’t find a lacrosse team to join. As a former ski racer, biking was a natural transition. It also might explain why she can be found riding even when the weather dips below freezing.

She lives in Brooklyn and works as a marketing consultant in addition to running Crow Hill Art, a small online gift business she started with her family.
